Copyright and takedown requests (DMCA)

YTScript does not host videos. Transcripts are built from captions that are publicly available on YouTube, and cached copies expire automatically. If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act for one, and believe material available through our Site infringes your rights, email contact@ytscript.app with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:

  1. your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
  2. a description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
  3. the exact URL(s) on https://ytscript.app where the material appears (for example the transcript page link);
  4. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  5. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material on our Site (for example by blocking the transcript page for that video) and may notify the person concerned where possible. To have content removed from YouTube itself, use YouTube's own copyright process at https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2807622.

If you believe material was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the details required by applicable law.

Si avisas de un vídeo que ha fallado, incluye el enlace: casi todos los avisos así acaban siendo un vídeo sin subtítulos, y con el enlace se confirma en un paso en lugar de en varios.

¿Cuánto tarda una respuesta?
Esto es un proyecto pequeño, no un servicio de atención, así que las respuestas no son inmediatas. Los mensajes se leen; uno claro y con los detalles incluidos recibe respuesta antes.
¿Conviene enviar el enlace del vídeo con el aviso de error?
Sí, siempre. Lo primero que hay que comprobar es si el vídeo tiene pista de subtítulos, y el enlace lo resuelve al momento.
¿Puedes retirar contenido?
Si eres el titular de los derechos de algo y quieres que se revise, dilo en el mensaje e incluye los detalles. Las peticiones las lee una persona, no se tramitan de forma automática.
¿Puedo pedir una función nueva?
Sí. Describir el problema que intentas resolver es más útil que describir la función, porque normalmente apunta a una solución más sencilla.
¿Ofreces una API o procesamiento por lotes?
De momento no. El sitio está pensado para un vídeo o un archivo a la vez.
